2 Days Jinja Adventure Safari.

This 2 days  Jinja tour  takes you to  Jinja town and the source of River Nile. From Kampala, Jinja is an hours drive to the East. This safari will begin with a  visit to the human-born Sezibwa Falls then proceed  to the Mabira Forest, a well developed ecotourism site. Mabira Forest the largest tropical forest in Uganda is a moist semi-decidous forest famous for walking and cycling trails. The forest is a home to over 100 species of large moths, butterfly fauna, 300 species of birds such as  blue swallow, papyrus gonolek and the nahan francoline, the purple throated cuckoo etc. There after we will visit  Jinja town which is well endowed with historical resources which include the Source of the Nile, the Bujagali Falls, and old Styled Indian buildings among others. White water rafting at the 5 grade rapids of the Nile is another exciting experience you can reward yourself while on a safari to Jinja.

Day 1: Kampala – Jinja (L,D)

You will be picked up by Gorilla Nature Safaris guide who will drive you Jinja for  the magnificent Jinja adventure experience. You will have a stopover at the Sezibwa falls-the cultural site well known for its spectacular falls. According to the local beliefs the river is known to have been born by a Human being.  We then visit the Mabira Forest, the largest remaining tropical forest in Central Uganda and then proceed to Jinja for lunch, You will then have a brief drive through the historical Jinja town, explore the source of the Nile by taking a boat trip ride to the source of the Nile, go for souvenir shopping from the gift shops. Day 2: Jinja – Kampala (B, L)

After breakfast, go for a full day adventure of white water rafting. Enjoy the most thrilling white water rafting at different grade stages in the morning.The white water rafting begins  with a comprehensive briefing and the fitting of lifejackets and helmets. The rafting is done on an 18 kilometre stretch of the Nile River. The first few rapids are low grade (1,2) and give you  a sense of confidence. As the river meanders through beautiful scenery, the rafts are guided into the mighty challenges of the best “grade 5” rapids on the Nile. Eight major rapids are rafted plus lower graded runs to maximize the adrenaline rush of this adventure. We then return to Kampala reaching in the evening for dinner and overnight.
